Protein Balls

Protein Balls (makes 15-20)


  • 100g chopped walnuts or cashews
  • 100g almonds
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds 
  • 170g medjool dates, pitted
  • 100g soft dried apricots
  • 100g prunes, pitted
  • 1 Tbsp  peanut butter
  • 2 Tbsp raw cacao powder (cocoa powder is also fine)
  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp honey, 
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 100g desiccated coconut for coating


  • Process nuts by pulsing in food processor till crumbly
  • Add dried fruit, pulsing till combined (might need to scrape down the sides)
  • Add peanut butter, honey, salt, raw cacao and spice, process till a firm dough. Pulse slowly and scrape down sides often.
  • Tip out of processor and form into balls using about 1 Tbsn of mix. Roll in coconut and refrigerate in an airtight container. They keep for about 2 weeks and can be frozen.
